Age Limit

Getteröns Camping is a family campground and therefore has a recommended age limit of 25.

Check-in & Reservations

We look forward to welcoming you! Check-in begins at 3:00 p.m. at the earliest on the day of arrival.

If you know you won’t be able to check in before the front desk closes, it’s important to contact the campground staff and let them know.

Check-out is at 12.00.

Are you enjoying your stay with us and would like to stay a little longer? You’re more than welcome to contact the front desk at 0340-168 85 to check if a room is available. You can also extend your stay yourself through the online booking system or contact us via email, and we’ll be happy to assist you : info@getteronscamping.se

Rescheduling must take place during the current season.

We offer two types of cancellation insurance: Basic Coverage and Comprehensive Coverage. Read more about our cancellation insurance plans and the terms and conditions for each plan HERE.

Comfort & Safety During Your Stay

We want all our guests to enjoy a peaceful, safe, and wonderful stay with us. That’s why it’s a good idea to familiarize yourself with our house rules and know how to contact us if any issues arise.

To ensure everyone’s comfort, the campground must remain quiet between
from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

No motor vehicle traffic is permitted between 12:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.

We ask that you be considerate of our other guests and help us create a peaceful and pleasant camping experience for everyone.

At night, you can contact the security company in the event of a disturbance. If you need to contact the night security guard, you can find the phone number HERE.

Guests who disturb the peace will be charged a call-out fee of 2,500 SEK. If a security guard is dispatched for non-disturbance-related matters, the guest who made the call will be charged. However, this does not apply in the event of technical malfunctions at the facility.

To ensure that everyone enjoys their stay at the campground, we ask that you respect your fellow campers. Generally disruptive behavior—such as playing loud music or walking across other people’s campsites—is not permitted. Please remember that each campsite is a temporary home, so please use the paths and be considerate of one another.

First Aid

First-aid kits are available at several locations on the campground: at the front desk, the Brasserie, and the workshop.

Defibrillators are located outside the reception area and outside Service Building C. In an emergency, call 112 and also notify the reception desk.

We’d love to hear your feedback—it helps us improve!

If any problems arise during your stay, please be sure to notify the front desk as soon as possible so that we can resolve them. Complaints submitted after the end of the rental period will not be considered.

Fire Safety at the Campground

For everyone’s safety, it is important that our fire safety rules are followed. By being mindful of where you park your vehicle, you help create a safe camping environment for all our guests.

All trailers and RVs must be backed into their designated lots, with any overhang extending toward the designated street. Awnings and trailers must be placed within the red stones on their respective lots. There must be 4 meters between each unit.

Only motorhomes are allowed at our motorhome sites. Campsites are primarily intended for travel trailers, but you can camp there with tents, rooftop tents, and motorhomes, provided you follow the social distancing rules.

Only one residential unit is permitted per location.

Children’s club

For our young campers, we offer the Kids’ Club, which runs during the height of summer. You can find information about current activities HERE and in our service buildings.

Showers

An activated shower card is required to get hot water in the showers. 4 SEK provides hot water for 2 minutes. Do you have any shower credit left on your card after your stay?
We will refund these amounts at checkout.

Please be sure to take good care of your shower/access card during your stay. If you lose your card or return it damaged, marked, or with drawings on it, a fee of 50 SEK will be charged.

Accessibility

Our accessible restroom and shower are located in Service Building A.

Dogs are more than welcome! 🐾

Dogs are more than welcome at Getteröns Camping! They are allowed in all of our cabins except for the allergy-friendly cabins 8–10.

Dogs must be kept on a leash within the campground and must be walked outside the campground.

One recommendation is Tredje Vik, which is Varberg’s only dog-friendly beach. After a dip in the ocean, you can easily rinse off your four-legged friend in our dog shower outside Service House C.

Our four-legged friends are not allowed in the common areas. Dogs, however, are warmly welcome at the Brasserie.

Also, remember never to leave your dog alone in a hot trailer, RV, or car. The temperature rises quickly, and it can get very hot for your dog.

Electric Car

Charging of electric cars is not allowed via electrical outlets or via caravan/camper.

Designated electric vehicle parking spaces with charging stations can be reserved at the front desk. You can also charge your vehicle in the municipal gravel parking lot. There, you’ll need to download the MONTA app to complete the charging process.

Wi-Fi

Wi-Fi is available on the campground and is free for campground guests (speed is limited).

Sorting & Recycling

Let’s work together to keep the campground clean and tidy by sorting our trash.

Sorted household waste, glass, charcoal, and returnable bottles are available at every service building.

Other sorted waste should be dropped off at the recycling center near Service Building C.

Thank you for helping us sort our waste and take care of our environment!

Sauna

For those who want to relax, there are both women’s and men’s saunas at the campground. The saunas are open every day and are a wonderful way to end the day after a dip in the ocean or a day at the campground.

Adventure golf

Try our adventure golf course, which is open every day!

Balls and clubs are available for rent at the front desk during its hours of operation. Challenge your family or friends and see who gets the best score of the day!

Sea & Beaches

It’s about 150 meters from the campground to the ocean.
Fjärde Vik, with its sandy beach, cliffs, and swimming piers, is the closest of Getterön’s five coves to the campground—perfect for a quick dip or a wonderful day by the sea.

To downtown Varberg

It’s about 4 km to downtown Varberg, and there’s a bike and walking path the whole way.

If you’d like to explore the area by bike, you can rent bikes at the front desk—both electric and non-electric.

The Getterö boats

During the summer, you can also take the Getteröboats from Getterön to downtown Varberg. The boat ride takes about 10 minutes and is a wonderful way to get into town while enjoying the sea. For more information about the Getteröboats, visit getterobatarna.se
