A few kilometers from Varberg city center you will find us, Getteröns camping. By car, boat, bike or walk you can easily reach the picturesque peninsula where we are located. The road here winds its way past the nature reserve, the marina and the airfield to the small community.
With five lovely bays lining the island, even the journey here is beautiful!
With the sea on one side and the peaceful nature on the other. The peacefulness that comes when you pass the road sign with Getterön on it, spreads like a bubble in your body and this is when you can really relax.

Experience an atmospheric evening with a traditional bonfire at Rantzauklippan at 20.00 on 30/4.
Throughout the weekend we offer, among other things, a tip walk for the whole family, bouncy castle, an exciting treasure hunt and crafts for our little campers.

150 meters to the sea
Stay at the campsite and discover Vinbärsviken – the fourth bay, just a few steps away! Here you can enjoy a sandy beach, rocks to relax on and stunning sunsets. There are two bathing jetties to cool off in the water, at the bathing jetties is also a great place to fish for crabs.
If you want to explore more, just stroll along a small footpath to both the third and fifth bays – just a few hundred meters away to discover more of Getter Island!
Five substitutes
Getterön is our summer gem we want to share with you! With five stunning bays, each with its own personality you can relax on the sandy beaches. Pump iron at the outdoor gym, learn about the sea, the animals and the underwater environment along the snorkeling trail. Or explore the cliffs, play in the playgrounds, fish for crabs and enjoy good food and drinks in restaurants and kiosks or buy the evening’s delicacies for the barbecue in the local the grocery store. With all this and more, our paradise island has everything you need for a great vacation!
10 minutes to the city center
Feel the pulse of the city just four kilometers away! You can easily get to the city center by bike or walking along the bike and pedestrian path with the sea on one side and nature on the other. Or hop aboard the Getterö boats for an exciting sea voyage along the archipelago, docking right at the marina in the heart of the city. Children's club
The Kids’ Club is where young adventurers meet and make new friendships. It hosts a range of exciting activities such as crab fishing, movie nights, bouncy castle jumping, mini golf and crafts – just to name a few. A warm welcome to all little campers!

Take to the sea and discover stand up paddleboarding (SUP). Glide over calm waves, explore secluded coves and get closer to nature with every paddle.
Activities at the campsite
At the campsite, there’s a whole bunch of great stuff for the whole family to enjoy! We’re talking bouncy castle, SUP, games room, boules, football pitch, and so much more! For the cool adventurers, there are mountain bikes for rent, (electric) bikes, and not least – hot tubs for those who like to relax on vacation!
