This is where your vacation really begins! At Getteröns Camping, you’ll find a sea breeze, refreshing dips in the water, sun-warmed cliffs, and wonderful days spent together.
Set up the awning, let the kids play and run around, explore our five swimming coves, or bike into Varberg.
Enjoy peaceful mornings, fun activities, and cozy evenings by the sea. There’s room here for both little adventures and lazy vacation days—everything that makes for a truly wonderful camping vacation.
The campground is open from April 23 to September 12, 2027.

We offer accommodations to suit every taste, from cozy cottages and glamping to campsites for trailers, RVs, and tents. Choose your ideal vacation and enjoy Getterön, the sea, and summer!
Activities
Discover Getterön your way! During your stay, SUP is included for camping guests—perfect for a wonderful trip on the water. If you’d like to explore the surroundings on two wheels, you can rent a regular bike, a mountain bike, an e-bike, or a cargo bike.
For those of you who’d rather relax and enjoy a little extra vacation luxury, you can also book our wonderful hot tub. There’s something here for both adventure and relaxation!

On Getterön, you’ll find beautiful swimming coves, lovely walks, and plenty of little adventures for the whole family!
Discover one of the playgrounds, take a dip in the ocean, or enjoy a delicious meal at one of Getterön’s restaurants and cafés. For those who want to stay active even while on vacation, there’s an outdoor gym at Första vik. Getterön has everything you need for a wonderful vacation by the sea, filled with both relaxation and fun experiences!
150 meters to the sea
Stay at the campsite and discover Vinbärsviken – the fourth bay, just a few steps away! Here you can enjoy a sandy beach, rocks to relax on and stunning sunsets. Det finns två badbryggor för att svalka dig i vattnet, vid badbryggorna är också ett utmärkt ställe att fiska krabbor på.
If you want to explore more, just stroll along a small footpath to both the third and fifth bays – just a few hundred meters away to discover more of Getter Island!

Med fem fantastiska vikar, var och en med sin egen personlighet you can relax on the sandy beaches. 10 minutes to the city center
Feel the city’s pulse just four kilometers away! Take a bike ride or go for a walk along the pedestrian and bike path, with the sea on one side and nature on the other. Or hop aboard the Getterö ferries and enjoy a lovely boat ride across the sea into downtown Varberg, where you’ll dock at the harbor right in the heart of the city.

Adventure golf
This summer’s big news, experience Halland’s largest adventure golf on Getterön!
Experience our brand-new adventure golf course, spanning a full 900 square meters, with 12 unique holes filled with challenges and fun obstacles. Gather your family and friends and see who can complete the course in the fewest strokes.
The adventure golf course is open to both day visitors and guests staying at the campground, so everyone is welcome to come and play!
Brasseriet
This year we are happy and proud to present the new restaurant owner Christian Erlandsson and staff!
Christian is someone with a wealth of experience with food and people; he is passionate about ensuring that food not only tastes good but is also a delightful experience!
Welcome to the Brasserie to see what he has to offer together with his lovely staff!
Four-legged friends
At Getterön, your four-legged friend is, of course, welcome on vacation! Our cottages are pet-friendly, with the exception of cottages 8–10, which are our allergy-friendly cottages.
There are lovely walking trails, places for dogs to swim, and plenty of space for both fun and relaxation
Dogs are warmly welcome at Brasseriet, so the whole family can enjoy a delicious meal together. After a day full of adventures, there’s also a dog shower outside Service Building C—perfect for a refreshing dip and a quick rinse.

Children’s club

Third Bay
Discover Tredje vik, Varberg’s dog beach, located about 150 meters from Getteröns Camping. Here, your four-legged friend can cool off in the ocean, play in the water, and enjoy a wonderful day by the coast. With cliffs, grass, and a small sandy beach, it’s a great spot for both fun and relaxation with your dog.
Fill Your Vacation with Adventure
The campground has a whole bunch of fun activities the whole family can enjoy! We’re talking about trampolines, SUP, a game room, bocce, a soccer field, and so much more! For the adventurous, there are mountain bikes to rent, (electric) bikes, and a hot tub for those who like to relax on vacation!

Enjoy the camping life during the first sunny days of spring or the peaceful, relaxing atmosphere of late summer. A perfect choice for those who want to experience Getterön when things are a little more laid-back, but nature and the sea still offer wonderful days.
The Getterö boats
Take the Getterö ferries to downtown! Leave your car behind and enjoy a lovely boat ride across the sea! With the Getterö ferries, you can easily get from Getterön to downtown Varberg in just about 10 minutes.

We invite you to relax in our new relaxation center, a peaceful and serene place to unwind during your stay with us. There is both a women’s and a men’s sauna, which are included for guests staying at the campground.
