Snorkelled
Explore the underwater world at Varberg’s first snorkeling trail in Första vik! Explore the underwater world through snorkeling and learn interesting facts about plant and animal life and the environment during an exciting reading under the surface.
Outdoor gym
Getterön’s outdoor gym is a popular spot by the beach for those who can’t sit still during the holidays and instead love to sweat and stay active even on days off. The gym is located on the first bay.
First bay - Hattaviken
The first bay is mostly surrounded by grass and to get down to the cooling salty water you either walk via a jetty or along the fine-grained sand. At the first bay you will find both the playground, outdoor gym and the marina which is located a stone’s throw from the beach. From here, the Getteröboats into town, perfect when you don’t want to take the car!
Second bay - Båtaviken
For those who don’t want sand between their toes, we recommend the second bay, the smallest of Getteröns five. There you can get down to the sea via a jetty. A perfect place to fish for crabs!
Third bay - meadow bay
Do you have a dog? Then you should visit third bay, Varberg’s only dog beach. Ängaviken is surrounded by grass, soft sand, rocks. There are dog houses for dogs to rest in after a refreshing swim in the sea. The shower is always at a lovely, lukewarm temperature for your four-legged friends to enjoy.
Vinärsviken - fourth bay
For those who prefer to lie down and sunbathe in the sand, you should look down to the fourth bay, where both a sandy beach and a nearby jetty are at hand. Next to the beach is a small walking path that takes you to both the third bay and the fifth bay.
Stora trälviken - Fifth bay
At the fifth bay, a large fantastic beach awaits you with a jetty, rocks, grass meadow, sandy beach, bathing jetty, accessible swimming pool, playground and amenities such as toilets and changing rooms. Here you will also find ice cream or lunch at the parasol.
Nature center
Welcome to Getterön’s nature center, where exploration and learning go hand in hand with happy laughter and curious discoveries!
Explore our exhibitions and let yourself be seduced by the diversity that Getterön has to offer. The children’s nature center contains everything from a play corner, treasure hunt, hint walk, the opportunity to borrow a backpack with binoculars and bird book. For the explorer, there are butterfly hoods to borrow during the summer to investigate the world of bugs.
At Naturum there is something for every curious soul!
Prince Julian's playground
Welcome to Prince Julian’s playground at Naturum in Varberg! A magical world of play and adventure awaits you here. Climb on exciting climbing frames, ride a slide and discover fun swings that soar towards the sky. Come and have fun in nature’s beautiful surroundings.
All little princes and princesses are welcome to play here!
Playground fifth:bay
The playground at Femte Vik on Getterön is a cozy and fun place for both children and adults. There is a boat where children can play in and pretend to be captains on an adventure at sea. Next to the boat are swings where children can soar high and feel the wind in their hair. The playground is beautifully located by the water and offers both play and beautiful nature in a wonderful combination.
Nature reserve
Discover the stunning nature and rich wildlife of Getterön Nature Reserve, surrounded by the sparkling sea. Here you can hike along scenic trails, birdwatch on the beaches and enjoy the fresh sea air. Perfect for both relaxation and adventure!
Promenade ladders
The winding paths take you along the sea, where you can enjoy the fresh breeze and spectacular views. The rocks, grass and stones create a varied and beautiful natural environment that invites you to relax and explore in all seasons.
The Getterö boats
Take a lovely trip with the Getterö boats to town! The short trip of about 10 minutes offers a relaxing and green experience over the water. Enjoy the fresh sea air and beautiful views as the boat glides along. Perfect for a quick excursion or as a convenient way to get into the heart of the city!
MTB bicycle
Check out the new addition this year: El-Mountainbike! You can now go bananas on Getterön’s rocky terrain and explore new inhospitable lands. It’s just what you need to get your adrenaline pumping.
